Listen to Kamilo Sanclemente – NO NO NO (Bjorn Fogelberg Remix)

My first remix of the year is of Colombian DJ and Producer Kamilo Sanclemente.

About a year ago I was asked by the label if I wanted to do a remix of one of three tunes from Kamilo that they had signed. I chose No No No since I liked the vibe of the tune and the catchy vocals. My remix, together with the original, recently did the rounds on Beatport, where it was charted on the Progressive House Releases and Top 100. Now finally it’s released in all the usual places. I hope you enjoy my, a bit darker take on the great original tune by Kamilo.

First mix of the year 2024: Björn Fogelberg Selection 020

It’s time for another one-hour DJ-mix by yours truly, where I play some of the best new Deep Progressive House music right now. Like the last time, I recorded this on video in my studio and put it on YouTube. This mix is a bit more trancey than usual. Perhaps as an homage to the type of music I produced in the mid-2000s, or maybe just because it’s really good music. Anyway, I hope you like it and please don’t forget to like and subscribe to my channel on YouTube, to make sure you never miss one of my mixes there again.

2023 in retrospect

2023 was one of my most productive years so far. Here are some data, for anybody that thinks things like that are interesting.

  • I made 12 DJ-mixes
  • Three original tunes were released, incl. supporting remixes
  • Two collabs were released, with the very talented John Keding
  • Two remixes by me were released
  • My music was found on five mixes/compilations on Spotify and Beatport
  • My music was played by DJs around the world, like Sanjay Dutta, Marc Denuit and Paul Thomas
  • Four tunes were charted on Beatport
  • One tune, my remix of Promethean made it to #1 on the chart for Beatport Progressive House Releases

So, what is up for 2024? Well, several tunes, collabs, and remixes have already been signed and are slated for release in 2024, on labels like ICONYC and Krafted. As usual, I will continue to make a new DJ mix every month. And finally, of course, I will try to produce more interesting music for you to enjoy on a dancefloor near you. :)

As always, you can stream my music on Spotify, and download my music on Beatport.

Aquariox, Akiva – Promethean (Bjorn Fogelberg Remix)

Let’s finish off a very productive 2023 with a bang. The EP Promethean, by Aquariox & Akiva, including my remix was released roughly a week ago. It’s currently smashing the charts of Beatport, the #1 site for music made for the dancefloor. When writing this, the EP is at #1 for all Progressive House releases and #15 for all genres, aka all EPs released on Beatport at the moment. My remix also just entered the Progressive House Top 100, where it currently sits at a respectable #65. What a fantastic ending to an overall great year.

For me, this year has been busier than normal for producing and releasing new music, and it is not quite over yet.

Listen to my latest live DJ Mix Björn Fogelberg Selection 019

It’s time for another of my one-hour live DJ mixes, where I play what I believe to be some of the best new Deep Progressive House music out there at the moment. This time I also did a live recording of me putting together this mix in my studio. As usual, I try to fit in some of my newly released music or music by friends of mine. This time is no different as I’ve recently released two EPs on ICONYC Noir and Hexagonal Music; The EP Desperately, together with fellow Swedish Producer John Keding, including remixes by K Loweski and Ben Haydie and another EP called As the Magic Wears Off, with remixes by John Keding, Chris Hover, and Matt Black.

Hope you enjoy this mix and please don’t forget to subscribe to me on Youtube or Soundcloud.

Listen to Desperately, the new Progressive House tune by me and John Keding

John Keding & Björn Fogelberg make their ICONYC Noir debut with a brand-new single entitled ‘Desperately’. The Swedish producers developed a universally loved unique style; dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival.

‘Desperately’ finds John Keding & Björn Fogelberg at their creative best with a driving, hypnotic production that’s nicely dialed in or the dance floor. Punchy beats and a full, driving groove anchor the piece, as vibrant tones and spacey effects adorn the framework. The main break hits suddenly and its astral charm quickly saturates your pleasure centers, before melting down to a cavernous reservoir as the beats drop for a storming finale.

The first remix of ‘Desperately’ comes courtesy of Berlin mainstay Ben Haydie who also marks his label debut with a gorgeous melodic take. The German artist reshapes the original elements into something dreamier and more melodic spacious sounding. The wonk factor on the low end is quite high and monumentally groovy as well, nicely playing off the rolling rhythmic qualities as dulcet hooks and gentle harmonics drift in and out of the framework. The main break shifts the narrative into more emotive territory but the dance floor sensibility remains, with muted beats and percussive clusters building towards a tasteful drop. Superb rework from Ben Haydie.

The second rework comes from label mainstay K Loveski. The Russian producer who has seen his excellent releases on Soundgarden, Mango Alley, and Droid9 to name a few, turns in a brilliant interpretation here. Deep, compelling and acutely driving dark progressive house beats, are the name of the game. The deep qualities and richly textured groove make for a lovely first act. As atmospheres evolve, distinctive stabs steal the air, before a massive break takes you further into a haze of deep progressive audio euphoria, perfectly setting up a grand finale to close out this masterpiece. A brilliant remix from K Loveski that is destined for the sets of the big boy progressive brigade. Highly recommended.
